Improving Concentration – A Practical Approach

In these unusual times we need more than ever to keep our mind clear and focused. If we are easily distracted our mental energy is quickly exhausted, we may fail to complete our task, or it may take much longer than we expect because we can’t concentrate very well. On the other hand, if we are able to focus our mind in a positive and peaceful way on whatever we’re doing, we can enjoy and complete our activity so much more easily.
In this half-day course Gen Dema will encourage us to cultivate better mindfulness during our meditation practice, which will naturally help us to concentrate better. She will explain how to carry this peaceful and positive mind into our busy daily life. As Nagarjuna, the great Indian Buddhist scholar and meditation master said: “From concentration comes peace” We will learn two different meditations; the first one is to help us to let go of our distractions and the second one is to practically encourage us to improve our concentration.
